CalmDo Vacuum Sealer, CD-V001

It is my first vacuum sealer and it is really easy to use and works as advertised - good piece of kit.

In preparation for the holidays (mostly Thanksgiving and Christmas), I purchased the vacuum sealer for a family member who was/is hosting the dinners to make sure it'd be fast, easy and useful in packing up leftovers or packing it to go for people to bring home. Let me just tell you how successful it was. Instead of zip locking or putting everything in a bowl/plate and using saran wrap - we used the vacuum sealer and for once did not create a huge disorganized mess in the fridge. Everything was able to fit well when it was sealed. The vacuum was super easy to use and worth it if you know you'd have a lot of extra foods. The next day, it was also easy to un-seal and re-heat the food. Overall, super happy that I purchased this for a family member - it was easy to use and the suction power was great. Now when they purchase meats/food in bulk, it'd be easy to vacuum an portion to freeze and not waste food too.

The product seems to work as advertised. This is the first vacuum sealer I have owned so I am just getting started. Seems well built, and so far has been easy to use.

I first found out about these sealer when I saw similar sealer at Costco. I like the design and shape of this sealer. I have been using these on meat and have not use it on veggies yet. It is working as intended. It made putting meat in fridge easier and saving space at the same time. This is my first sealer and liking it so far.

This machine is just what I wanted! It works great once you get used to it! The steps for sealing were simple and easy to follow. I used the dry setting but hit the seal button as soon as it took enough air out and it came out perfect.I love the fact that it makes food last way longer in the freezer. It comes with some bags. I'm certain it will eliminate food going bad and will be saving us money.

This is my first one and I love it. The food has preserved really nicely. Need more bags already. But we had to process a lot of meat.

The product has no assembly or setup necessary. Connect to power and use. The buttons have different functions that are good for different food condition. The suction power is fast and strong to seal the wrap tight. It comes a roll of plastic wrap that you cut with your desired size. Efficient and good product to save your fridge spaces.

I use this vacuum sealer for raw meat and leftovers. It keeps the food fresh. The machine is easy to operate with simply pressing one button. It came with a sealer bag roll that will last for some time. I also tried using other zipper bags but they did not work. So I will need to purchase some more food sealer bags.

It's a little loud. It's compact. It sucks well. I use it a lot.

We owned 2 vacuum sealers before and this is by far our favorite. We love how compact, powerful, and easy to use it is! The free bags that came along with the sealer was big and it allows us to portion off our big bag of rice. Money well spent!

Slacking a little on the suction

This is a great machine. Easy to use. This is the one we bought for our vacation home since the first one we bought was so fantastic.

seems like it's my time to help review, and my wife has been vacuuming everything and anything. candy, cereal, seafood, cookies, chicken, pasta noodles, a bit excessive? I give it 5 stars for keeping her out of my way with fantasy

It was very easy to use since it is automatic. We usually buy meat in bulk, especially now during COVID-19 epidemic, so it is very helpful to keep our meet fresh for longer period. As you know meet becomes dry when you keep it in a plastic bag but now with this vacuum sealer we can eat fresh meat all the time. I also came with a roll of bags! I am planning to use this sealer to freeze my veggies and fruits. Recommend buying it!

I actually like this sealer machines too much it helps me organize the foods, vegetable and fruit. I bought too many foods and was thinking about how to organize my refrigerator. it's very easy to use and it comes with some vacuum bags. This is one of the best sealer machines in the market. I definitely recommend it to my friends.

I used this for my mushrooms and they did a great job of keeping them airtight. it is very lightweight, small, and easy to use. it is a little bit loud but it does the job and plugs right in.

This is the third machine I have had and it is by far the best. Extremely easy to use and what normally would take me a couple of hours to do was completed in less than a half hour. The suction is strong, and all by a press of a button.

I can never pass up a good deal on vacuum sealer bags since I use them so much. It has made such a difference in the life span of my frozen food. You know you just toss it in your freezer and forget about it til a year later? Now my stuff is organized, labeled and vacuum sealed for easy storage and no frost bite. Loving the vacuum sealer!

This product is wonderful. Seals chip bags to prevent them from going bad. Sucks the extra air out of the meat. This is an all around great machine and easy to use.

Great suction power and easy to use. This is a must for deer season. We've put off getting this for a few years and I'm sad we didn't have this sooner. I would suggest you not put this off and buy this now.

I like the fact it comes with plastic bag ready to use. I tried vacuum a steak, perfect for sous vide. Very easy and straightforward to use

The vacuum sealer is easy to use with a slight learning curve when it comes to how much to fill the bags and keeping the bags flat inside the sealing chamber. I did specifically have some issues with sealing raw chicken on the moist suction mode as it did not take all of the air out of the bag. Otherwise, the sealer is easy to use with relatively strong suction and is easy to clean!

Just received this! It was a great price! I've already packaged 3 pork tenderloin that I got on sale. We sliced them ourselves and packaged in the sizes we wanted! I would have liked a little more instructions and information in the booklet included but it was easy to figure out best way to package and do. The suction power was great. It doesn't take long for the package to seal! Can't wait to use after grocery shopping this week!

Easy to use. My old one had to be placed on the vacuum part just right or it wouldn't seal. This on you just slide the end in and it seals. It does take a few seconds longer to seal than I expected, but it's not a big deal. It's small & light, too, for easy storage.

I have been looking for a food sealer for a long time. This one was exactly what I was hoping for. The directions were straightforward and the machine was very easy to use I used the bags that came with it to seal and freeze my meat. I used some Ziploc baggies with the attachment that comes with the sealer, which also worked great. I like the flexibility of being able to use my own bags as well as the bags that came with my machine. I also like that I was able to choose the size freezer bag from the roll of freezer bags that came with my sealer. I was impressed with the suction power which quickly pulled the air out of the bags. I'm excited about being able to take advantage of supermarket sales and freeze my bargains!

Works great; I had a good discount coupon I used when purchasing this during Prime Days. Love using it and would recommend it to anybody looking. Doesn't take up a lot of counter space which is nice since we have a small kitchen.

It took me a few days to be able to try this. I had to go get the on-sale chicken breasts that I like to stock up on! I separated them, put three in each bag and then went to vacuum sealing them. I owned a larger model a few years back, and when it died I didn't replace it. I decided to try this one, and it worked perfectly. It's really easy, sealed the chicken up tightly with a solid seal. I now have a freezer shelf full of chicken for the winter. If you don't have a vacuum sealer, consider trying this one. It works just as well as those more expensive brands!

The vacuum sealer is easy to use. I opened it and used it the day it arrived. I was able to use the sealer without difficulty. It sealed the ground beef and chicken breasts as well a had good auction power that removed most of the air from the packaging. I am happy I made this purchase!

We bought this to replace another manufacturer's vacuum sealer and was very pleased with this choice. It has good suction and the ability to choose between packing moist food vs dry food is a real plus. This keeps it from sucking moisture into the machine which was the problem with our previous unit from another manufacturer.. The tips and the manual are very well written and useful...Don't ignore them. The auto process of vacuum and sealing is seamless with no guesswork. The ability to use the additional external vacuum hose for containers is an added plus. I was impressed with the vacuum suction power for such a light and small appliance. Easy to store.

In this epidemic, I really don't want to shop often. So I bought this vacuum sealing machine. Now I can buy more foods at once than before, and I can separate them and vacuum seal them. It is easy and fast to operate. It allows me to reduce the risk of shopping. I am very happy to choose it.

Ordered this product and it came quick.. opened it up and started using immediately..great vacuum sealer and very easy to use.

I have to say, I'm pretty happy so far! I've only used it a couple of times though. But I used it to store guacamole. And I love the results! I've tried putting guacamole in Ziploc bags, to store in the freezer. Most of the time, the guac stays green, but when I take it out, it starts to brown while thawing. So I tried my CalmDo. When I was ready for my guacamole, I took out my frozen pouch, and left it on the countertop to thaw. I left it there long enough that it wasn't even cold anymore and still it remained a beautiful green! Yay! I never had a vacuum sealer before, so I'm really enjoying the possibilities with my vacuum sealer.

I love owning a Food vacuum sealer! I made breakfast foods, froze them and then thawed, they were as fresh as day one! I feel like I can save so much money ! No more wasting leftovers. This Full Automatic Bag Sealing Technology is so much easier to use, and time saving.

I use vacuum sealer for sous vide. Previous one didn't have a moist mode which caused a lot of issues for juicy food. I had to reseal my bag 4-5 times to get a good seal. This new vacuum sealer completely changed the game. It works flawlessly and a lot quieter than a previous one I owned. Moist mode is a life changer. No more dealing with a paper towel to clean up the mess.

Highly recommend this food vacuum sealer. This is second food vacuum I used, the first one is nightmare too many step you need to do and hard to control. I am happy to have this vacuum sealer, very easy to use and made by high quality.

Wow this is great. I was going to order my 4th foodsaver and discovered this in the process. It takes up barely any counter space. I could even take this on trips with us. Very easy to use right out of the box. I watched several videos others were kind enough to upload. It did exactly what it said it would. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

When you need vacuum-filled food or dry food, there are two options. When vacuum-filled food, the machine will suck water into a small groove in the machine, which is very convenient. It takes about half a minute to vacuum a food, and it sucks very cleanly. There is almost no air in the bag.

First of all, I really liked the aesthetics of this product, very modern looking sleek design looks really nice on top of my countertop in my kitchen. You can vacuum dry or wet items, the seal is really strong and sucks out every air very well. LED light turn on when the machines is in use to let you select different options and it's customizable too. Very happy with this purchase, totally worth the price, compact design doesn't take up lot of space in your kitchen and great looking product.

Due to the pandemic, we are not able to grocery frequently, so we bought a lot of beef. But the meat was in the fridge for a long time, so the taste was not new and fresh. That's why I needed a vacuum machine. I did a lot of research and finally got this car. I sealed the raw beef in small portions for a single serving. I think the meat is fresh now. The machine manual states that the sealed meat can be stored for up to 6 months. The performance of the vacuum sealing machine is good, it comes with a vacuum bag.

This was very easy to unpack and use! Read the instructions first and foremost, before attempting to use and you shouldn't have any issues. Loved it! I did ground venison packs and backstraps in sealed bags, by myself. EASY to use!

I've never used a vacuum sealer machine before, and I found this to be super simple and easy to function. Once you figure out how to properly size your plastic, and how to properly place it in the machine for sealing, you're on the go! I love the price and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good priced quality vacuum sealer machine.

Pros: powerful, you don't have a slot you must negotiate for vac sealing. It's all automatic!!!! You just place the bag into the machine and you'll feel it stop then tap the button you prefer then the machine auto releases the bag when its done. It's all automatic and oh so nice and simple...absolutely great..AND you don't have any "waiting" period between seals. It will also take the smallest of bags and seals them without hesitation. By smallest I mean an 11" bag that has been reduced down by removing product and being resealed..we've "wasted" alot of bags on another machine that couldn't handle small leftover bags. Your gonna "love" that feature. Con: noisy.. I truly hope this machine lasts cause it's an absolute pleasure to use even though it's noisy...yeahhhhh!!!

I was on the hunt for a new sealer when I found this one. I was tired of "pushing down" to lock the others into place and was intrigued by the idea of being automatic. Was it really? WHY IS THERE EVEN ANOTHER OPTION?!?! After getting the sealer I quickly realized that I had been jipped my whole life with the others that cannot compare to this one. Plug in, place plastic in, touch "seal", and boom! That's it. Put the food in, wet or dry, put plastic in and press "wet" or "dry" depending on your item(s) and .... BOOM. Done. It does all the work. No pushing down. No releasing. Nothing. It's so easy my husband can do it! Seriously, he keeps finding things he thinks need sealing just to play with it. ???��? The dry option sucks way more air out and has more of that sucked seal. The wet option sucks until the juice begins to seep out and then it seals, so not AS air tight, leaving room for the juice, but seals nicely. Don't think it is leaving air in, just not vacuum sealing as tightly on wet option.

This food sealer is space efficient and easy to use. Love it!!

Very happy with my purchase. Took a minute to get used to the process but works extremely well and has options that permit you to select the degree of vacuum need (so as not to crush delicate items). And its kinda fun to use :)

I thought I can't use it soon because I forgot to buy the bags. But it came with it so I don't need to get a new one and wait. I tried to seal my bread and it works. Very good.

I watch cooking youtube and find out about the sous vide cooking method for the meat. I wanted to try that so I had to buy the vacuum sealer and I pick this machine after watching a bunch of reviews. Because of I never used it before , so I was curious about using the sealer. Finally I got my machine and first I went to grocery store to get a fresh tenderloin. I sealed the bag with meat and tried my new sous vide cooker too. All the process was pretty easy; installing, using the buttons, vacuuming and sealing. I used manual vac feature for my meat and it sucked all the air in the bag. The sealed bag also did not leak in the water when I did sous vide cooking for about 2 hours in 120 degree. I ordered the dry age meat bags to try homemade dry aging steak. I'll try and keep it post updated.

This is the best vaccum sealer ive used. I got another one in stores and it was not near this good! At first it was a bit confusing with all the buttons, but overall easy to use when you get used to it. The vaccum part only takes about 5 seconds, and it does the job! Id recommend this one to everybody .

I have been looking at vacuum sealers for a few months now, but was hesitant due to the high price of some other models and bad experiences many years ago with vacuum sealers. I'm so glad that I finally took the chance and bought this one. I've been trying it on everything that I could think of and it has been sealing perfectly. Now I can finally buy meat in bulk, seal it and not worry about it being freezer burnt in a week. I've been using this for prepping my kids meals for school; cutting up fruits and vegetables, sealing them then having them ready to go in the refrigerator for when it's time to pack their lunches. I've had no issues with the bags not sealing or there being any air whatsoever left in the bag. It's so simple to use, just seal one end, place your food in the bag, then place the bag in the sealer. In about 20 seconds the air is removed and the bag is automatically sealed. The only real con that I have found so far, which. Is the same with any vacuum sealer, is that the bags can be kind of expensive. I figured the reduction in wasted food and convenience more than makes up for the cost

First time I used the vacuum sealer it worked amazing I was extremely impressed with how efficient it was and how easy it was to use, the 2nd time I tried to use it the lid jammed and I was unable use it I was extremely frustrated as I had only used it once and my return period had expired so I emailed the company and explained what the issues were with the machine and they sent me out a replacement free of charge, even though I had an issue with the first machine I am giving 5 stars because the issue was resolved quickly and I have a working machine that I absolutely love!

Still learning all the ins and outs of this vacuum sealer. Was really pleased to find that you can seal bag without vacuum...think bread and meatballs...NO Smashing!

This seal machine has extremely powerful suction which I love a lot. The machine is sleek and space saver. My food can last a lot longer in the refrigerator and save money as well. The machine is very easy to operation, and easy to clean.

This product is good . It does a good job sealing the food. We used it for meat in place of freezer bags. This helps us save space in the fridge and help lock in the flavor. It seals well for that and is much easier than getting the air out ourselves.It also helps keep food fresh. I like the fact that it is low noise than other similar vacuum sealer machines.

Bought this for my mom as a gift who currently lives in another country. Not that heavy, easy to use, don't need a lot of accessories like other vacuum sealer machine. I am glad I found this one, pretty happy with my purchase so far! ?? I am sure my would love it and get the most out of it.

My kids like seafood and we buy in bulk at Costco but we don't finish in time and we decided to buy a food sealer and start dividing the portions out for each meal to help save money and not waste food. Once the air is vac out food will be preserved for a much long period of time 6x to 10x longee. This helped me not getting freezer burn and vegetables last longer. There is nothing worse than having to throw away freezer burnt meats along with everything else that you try to use later. This machine easy to use and worth the investment. The instructions is quite easy open, cut the bag to a desire size slip the bag into the opening and hit the seal button then take it out and fill in your food then press the moist or dry button and the machine will do the rest in under 15 second. The difference between Moist and Dry vac is the sealing time. Moist will take longer to seal because the plastic bag is wet so that why it takes longer to seal. The lid is easy to open and clean by wiping with a damp towel and closed the lid again and ready for use . My wife enjoys using this because she can take it out of the fridge and throw it in the sous vide and then I have tender food in a few hrs with any fuss. This is a food saver and a time saver as well. Wish I had known this sooner.

I love to buy foods are in best value. However, best value food is not always comes in small amount I ended up throwing a lot of food that cannot be eaten. So, I decided to get vacuum sealer machine to keep everything fresh. This Calmdo has good suction power and has dry/moist option to set levels of moist which I like. It is simple to use so I did not have to read instruction at all. I have been putting my meat, cheese, fish with this sealer and I like it better than just putting it in container for sure. Love it!

Essential kitchen equipment to have. Excellent for small amount of preserved food. I made marinated steak with it. It has excellent suction for both dry and wet food. It also has an external suction tool for compressing other bags and containers. Recomment it.

What a great sealer for the price! Worked 100% out of the box. I sealed some dried fruits for later and the bags are holding vacuum great! So easy to use! I love this thing!!

I bought this after listening to my friend's recommendation. At first, I didn't know how to use it. Fortunately, there are many teaching videos online. The machine is very good and can be turned on for easy cleaning. And it comes with a tube that can be used for any bag. There are several function keys, easy to operate. With this I don't have to worry about food going bad anymore!

I've never owned a vacuum sealed but always wanted one. This one is easy to operate. Being able to switch between wet and dry sealing is very convenient and practical. I would highly recommend this product without hesitation.

I wanted to get a name-brand after my previous experience with an off brand but then I read the reviews. I immediately canceled my order and did some research and decided on this one. I'm so glad I did! It's easy to use, does what it's supposed to and looks nice. It seals, I'll write that again - IT SEALS! That's what it's supposed to do but you'd be surprised on how many sealers actually do not but this one does. The instructions are easy, it's plug and play, just turn it on, put the package under the lip and press a button and it does the rest. I can't recommend this sealer enough. It looks good, it works and it's simple to use. Buy it!

I saw a commercial of this vacuum sealer on tv with a different brand and was awed that there is something that we can buy to preserve our food in a genius way. This is a Filipino household, meaning there is a lot of food whenever we cook as there are lots of ingredients to our usual viand/meal. This little monster has a powerful suction, the lid is easy to lock in place. This food sealer vacuum helps me seals and store food without getting worried if it would spoil the next day. My spouse and I always buy in bulk in Costco and separate them and put it in the fridge. Although we had been doing that, it still not a guarantee that it will be fresh once we re open the food again. This handy food sealer vacuum is amazingly good for storing its natural freshness. We buy in bulk, then seal and freeze in the perfect quality. We had been saving $100 or more on the food just preserving it and reheating it whenever we wanted to. This can keep our dinners airtight and delicious, so they will not end up in the garbage. They say that frozen food that is vacuum sealed will last an average of 2-3 years, while it will last 6-12 months, on average, stored in other ways. Most vacuum sealed foods will last in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks, which is much longer than the typical 1-3 days food will last when stored conventionally in a refrigerator. But one food that I store and sealed, I end up reheating yesterday and incredibly retain its freshness. I was just astonished.

I ordered this two days ago and it arrived today! Very quick delivery, as promised. I used it today to package up a few pieces of chicken and it worked really well. One of the packages I sealed ended up leaking and I had to reseal it. Otherwise, I think it's super easy to use and very convenient to have. It's great quality for not the worse price.

You can actually suction a little at a time in order to pull just enough air out so that you don't destroy your soft items. That's a fantastic feature and the reason I made this purchase. Very easy to operate, too! Very happy with my purchase.
